Description

Psyllium or Plantago also known as Ispaghul is a species of plantain whose seeds and in particular their husks are rich in mucilage. These are substances able to absorb 8 to 10 times their weight in water. The action of these mucilages gives Psyllium mild laxative properties, and allows it to be effective against both constipation and diarrhea.
