Description

Sorbitol or glucitol is a natural polyol. It is a particularly interesting sweetener because it has very little influence on blood sugar levels, being non-insulin dependent. It is used in cosmetics and animal feed for its humectant, stabilizing and thickening power. Sorbitol is available in powder form, or in a 70% solution.
