Description

Spirulina, Spirulina Arthrospira Platensis, is a freshwater micro-algae belonging to the cyanobacteria. It is used in dried form, in powder or in capsules and tablets in human food. It has a unique nutritional composition with more than 60% bioavailable proteins for humans, essential amino acids, vitamins and trace elements. It is also made up of essential fatty acids, chlorophyll and phycocyanin. In animal feed, Spirulina is used for pets and mainly in sport horses, as a fortifier, detoxifier and nutrient for recuperating effort.
